The Bike

2002 BMW R1150RT

I purchased the bike in June of last year in order to be able to take longer trips and take Mandy along with me. Since purchase I have made a few modifications:

• Custom Seats from Rich's Custom Seats
• Works Performance shocks front and rear
• Bags Connection wired tank bag
• Custom wired powerlet socket for laptop charging (more information here)
• Wireless headsets for talking and listening to music
• Elf-pegs
• ZTechnic Windscreen 

Along with the few modifications made over the last year, I have performed the following maintenance and tune-up items prior to departure: (A special thanks is owed to the R-bike geniuses over at Internet BMW Riders for this manual.)

• All fluids changed
• Fuel filter replaced
• Valve adjustment
• TPS reset and throttle-body sync
• Brake bleed (made less of a pain in the ass by this)
• Clutch bleed
• Fork seals replaced

 The bike is running great thanks to all of this, and thanks to a little help from my local mechanic genius. (You rule, Dennis!)
